Taneja explained that pilots and ground staff often feel pushed to ignore technical issues just to keep flights on time.
He said airlines sometimes make pilots fly planes with unresolved faults, while engineers are discouraged from reporting maintenance problems to avoid delays.

With over 10 million subscribers, Taneja first suggested engine failure was behind the crash but later pointed to pilot fatigue and wider system flaws.
He questioned sending the black box to the US for investigation due to transparency worries about Boeing's role.
Previously, he was fired by Air Asia after exposing safety lapses in airlines.
