Heavy rainfall predicted for east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, west UP
Heads up—IMD has put out a warning for extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and West Uttar Pradesh.
This is all thanks to a stubborn low-pressure area over Jharkhand and an active monsoon trough pulling in extra moisture from the Bay of Bengal, making these regions especially wet right now.
East Rajasthan, MP could see intense rain through weekend
Madhya Pradesh could see intense rain through the weekend, while East Rajasthan is in for four straight days of downpours starting Tuesday.
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand might also get hit with heavy showers.
Most parts of India can expect normal or above-normal rain until July 20—except Gujarat and West Maharashtra, which might stay drier than usual.
All this rain means cooler temps and happier crops, but do watch out for waterlogging or travel delays if you're heading out.
