Heavy snowfall leaves elderly tourists stranded in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh just got its first big snowfall of the season, turning high-altitude roads like the Old Sela route icy and hard to see through.
Several districts, including Tawang and West Kameng, were hit by this sudden winter weather.

Why does this matter?

Eight elderly tourists got stuck on a snow-covered road while heading to Bomdila.
Thankfully, the Army's Gajraj Corps stepped in quickly—helping them warm up, checking their health, and guiding them safely out of the snow.
