Hyderabad: Bank manager goes missing after receiving call from boss
A 43-year-old bank manager, JN Ravikumar, from Hyderabad's Kotak Mahindra Bank (Somajiguda branch), disappeared after stepping out of his Ameerpet home around midnight on March 3, 2026.
He left following an urgent call from Gaurav, the bank's national sales manager.
When he did not return for hours, his wife Shyamala Sirisha grew concerned and began searching for him.
Investigators have not ruled out any links to earlier fraud
Before going completely off the grid on March 4, Ravikumar texted his wife a simple "I'm sorry," then switched off his phone, after which he could not be reached.
After checks with friends and relatives turned up nothing, Sirisha filed a missing person report on March 5 at SR Nagar police station.
Police are now reviewing CCTV footage and call records to trace him.
Investigators have not publicly ruled on any links to earlier Kotak Mahindra Bank fraud cases.
Right now, it is just a worrying mystery for both his family and local residents.
