IMD warns heavy rain across north central India September 3

Heads up: India Meteorological Department (IMD) says to expect lots of rain across several parts of India on September 3, especially in north and central regions.

The cause? A well-marked low-pressure area over northeast Madhya Pradesh is pushing the monsoon into high gear.

East Madhya Pradesh could see some seriously heavy showers, with Naigarhi already getting 15cm in just one day.

Heavy rain alerts for multiple states

If you're in Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, or Uttar Pradesh, get ready for widespread rain in some spots: some spots may see intense downpours.

Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Assam, and Meghalaya are also on alert for heavy rainfall in certain areas.
