IMD warns of thunderstorms, lightning in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is in for some stormy weather this week, with the IMD predicting thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds up to 40km/h through October 11.
Some areas, especially Rayalaseema, could see heavy downpours.

Red alerts issued for several districts

Red alerts are out for Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and Kakinada—meaning a real risk of moderate to heavy rain with lightning.
Other districts are also on alert for possible storms. Officials are urging everyone to stay indoors and avoid sheltering under trees.
While October usually brings a few rainy days here, it's smart to be extra prepared for sudden weather swings this week.
