#CBSE2019: Important rules to follow during Class-10, Class-12 board exams

The 2018-19 CBSE Board Examinations for Class 12 have started on 15 February while the Class 10 board exams would commence from 21 February. According to CBSE, as many as 31 lakh candidates have registered to appear for the Board Examinations this year. Here are some important rules and instructions CBSE has issued to follow before and during the board exams this year.

Information
About the CBSE board exams this year

The CBSE Board Exams for Class 10 would commence from February 21 and continue until March 29. Meanwhile, Class 12 exams had begun on February 15 and would go on until April 3.

#1
CBSE's rules to follow before the board exams

CBSE has instructed students appearing for board exams to go through their admit cards thoroughly and follow the given rules and directions. This year, the Board has also made parent's signature mandatory on the student's admit card; so, candidates must ensure that their parents have signed on their admit card. They should also visit their examination center before the exams to avoid last-minute trouble.

#2
What should students do during the board exams?

Students must reach their exam center before 9:45 am during the board exams as candidates will not be allowed to enter after 10 am. Also, candidates must carry their School IDs and appear for the board exams in their school uniform as it has been made mandatory. They must also cooperate with the checking done before entering the board exam center.

#3
Do not carry items not allowed in the exam hall

Students must follow all the rules given in the admit cards and take note of the list of items not allowed in the exam hall. Such items include mobile phones, wallets and purses, chits or other papers, old question papers, electronic items, etc. among others. They are advised to carry permitted stationery in transparent pouches. They must also ensure discipline in the exam hall.

Information
#4: Must fill the answer booklet carefully

During the exam, students must first read the instructions given on their answer booklet carefully and fill in the required details accurately; they must approach the invigilator if they have doubts. Before answering, they should read the question paper thoroughly and adhere to the instructions.
