India on verge of ending Maoist terrorism: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared big news on Friday, saying India is just about to end Maoist terrorism for good.
At an NDTV event in New Delhi, he revealed that 303 Maoists surrendered in only 75 hours and that now, just three districts are still affected by Left Wing Extremism.
Modi added that some areas will finally get to celebrate Diwali after 60-70 years, marking a huge shift for those communities.
Modi slams Congress for not tackling urban naxals
Modi called out previous Congress governments for not tackling "urban naxals" and for keeping Maoist violence under wraps.
He highlighted his government's focus on bringing young people back into mainstream life, mentioning projects like the 'Bastar Olympics.'
Modi said that while violence once held these regions back, things are finally changing—turning a long history of fear into new chances for growth.
