India's Supreme Court tells MEA to trace Deepak Kumar Gupta

India's Supreme Court has told the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to urgently track down Deepak Kumar Gupta, a 22-year-old sailor who vanished after his cargo ship was hit by drones near Ukraine's Odesa port on July 25.

The court will check for updates again this Friday.

Bareilly family prompts court action

Deepak's family, from Bihar and now living in Bareilly, reached out after their calls for help went unanswered.

The court has asked officials to get updates from Indian embassies in Ukraine and Romania, hoping for news about Deepak.
