Jaishankar says world is no longer dominated by 1 country
India's foreign minister, S Jaishankar, says the world isn't run by just one big player anymore.
At the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi, he shared, "No country today has hegemony over so many domains that it is an overall hegemon," highlighting that global power is now more spread out.
Jaishankar's views on old world order
Jaishankar pushed back against wishing for the old post-1945 world order, calling it This was the order by the West, for the West, from the West.
He pointed out that different regions now lead in areas like economy and strategy: No single country calls all the shots.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb echoed this shift, noting in his book how we've moved from Cold War rivalry to today's multipolar reality.
Both leaders see countries like India playing a bigger role in shaping what comes next.
