JeM-linked doctors' case handed over to NIA; over 2,900kg explosives seized

India

Two doctors from Al-Falah University in Faridabad—Dr. Muzammil Ganaie and Dr. Shaheen Sayeed—were arrested in late October and early November 2024 for allegedly helping run a terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
Police found over 2,900kg of explosives stashed in rented spaces, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is now leading the case.

Network of radicalized doctors recruited for suicide attacks

Investigators say Dr. Saeed was trying to set up JeM's women's wing in India and was caught with assault rifles and ammo in her car.
The probe has uncovered a network of radicalized doctors recruited for suicide attacks across several states, all reportedly coordinated by handlers based in Pakistan.
The NIA is still mapping out everyone involved.
