Karnataka student gets call for putting Savarkar as DP

A law student in Shivamogga, Karnataka, got a threatening call after setting his WhatsApp display picture to an image of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
The caller told Chandan to remove the photo, hurled abuses, and claimed Savarkar "served the British."
The incident happened on November 6.

Caller introduced himself as Praveen

Chandan recorded the call—where the caller introduced himself as Praveen but used a number listed under "Sheikh Kuwait"—and reported it to the police.
Officers are now looking into the case to track down whoever made the threat.
