Kaziranga National Park names elephant calf after Zubeen Garg
Kaziranga National Park in Assam just named a newborn elephant calf Mayabini, as a heartfelt tribute to the late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.
The calf, born on October 4 to longtime park resident Kuwari, gets her name from Garg's beloved song "Mayabini raatir bukut."
It's a warm nod to his influence on local music, culture, and environmental causes.
