Maharashtra FDA seizes 95T+ food products, 172L milk worth 4.45Cr

Just days before Ganesh Chaturthi, Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration seized more than 95 tons of food products and 172-liter of milk, collectively worth around ₹4.45 crore.
The sweep covered Ahilyanagar, Pune, Nashik, and Buldhana, where officials found butter with dodgy labels and questionable quality, along with paneer, khoya, curd, barfi, and milk that didn't meet safety standards.
FDA sends seized samples for analysis
Samples from the seized goods have been sent for laboratory analysis.
The FDA is closely monitoring the quality of food products across Maharashtra and will continue its crackdown on adulterated and misbranded food products during the festive season.
They've made it clear: anyone caught breaking food safety rules will face strict action.
