Maharashtra records 767 farmer suicides in early 2025
Between January and March 2025, Maharashtra reported 767 farmer suicides—a tough reminder of the ongoing crisis in the state.
Relief Minister Makarand Patil said families of 373 victims are set to receive ₹1 lakh each, but many cases are still under review or deemed ineligible.
