Man arrested for allegedly murdering wife in Maharashtra
India
A 43-year-old man has been arrested at the Achhad border of Maharashtra and Gujarat after his 25-year-old wife's body was found near a bridge construction site on the Mumbai-Vadodara highway last week.
Police say she was strangled with her dupatta, and a murder case has been registered.
How police cracked the case
With few leads at first, investigators shared the victim's photo to help identify her.
This led them to her husband, Sakirali Mustafaali Mansuri, a driver from Uttar Pradesh living in Surat.
He was picked up at the Maharashtra-Gujarat border and admitted during questioning that he killed his wife because he suspected her of infidelity.
Police are still looking into more details as the investigation continues.
