Man loses ₹1.29cr to online dating app fraud

A 42-year-old from Bengaluru lost over ₹1.29 crore after being targeted by scammers on the Quack Quack dating app earlier this month.
The fraudsters convinced him to invest in a website, promising big returns from international stock markets.
He realized it was a scam when neither his money nor any profits showed up, and reported the incident to police on November 7.

One accused gained victim's trust by saying she wanted old-age home

One accused, Meghana Reddy, gained his trust by saying she wanted to open an old-age home in his father's name.
The victim sent the money through multiple bank transfers between November 5 and 6 but got nothing back.
Police have registered a cyber fraud case and are now tracking digital clues.
