Ghaziabad: Bike-borne assailants open fire at pharmacy employee

What's the story

A 25-year-old man was on Wednesday hospitalized after he was shot at by three bike-borne assailants outside a pharmacy in Sahibabad in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, police said yesterday. The incident occurred at around 4 pm in Lajpat Nagar area of Sahibabad, leaving locals panicked, they said. The injured man, identified as Babloo Thakur, worked at the pharmacy. Here's more.

Five bullets hit Thakur in the leg

The three assailants reached the spot on a bike and asked him about the shop owner, Hemant Tyagi, who was not there at the time, a police officer said. While leaving, the assailants opened fire at Thakur, with five bullets hitting him in the leg. He has been hospitalized, and further probe was underway, Assistant Superintendent of Police Anoop Singh said.
