Mumbai principal booked after student alleges assault at school

A Mumbai school principal is facing police action after a 15-year-old student said he was assaulted on campus.
The incident happened after the student was accused of misbehaving at a Children's Day party, and the principal called for his parents.
When his mother couldn't come right away, the principal allegedly kept him back and hit him several times, including slaps and a punch.

The student's father arrived later and reported that the principal even threatened them about filing a complaint.
Although the principal apologized afterward, CCTV footage from the school confirmed what happened.
Police have now registered an FIR under relevant laws and are reviewing all evidence as part of their ongoing investigation.
