PM Modi honors Ghana's founding President at memorial park
During his visit to Accra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped by the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to pay tribute to Ghana's founding President.
Joined by Ghana's Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, he laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence—recognizing Nkrumah's huge role in leading Ghana to independence back in 1957 and championing African unity.

MEA on the memorial
India's Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that this gesture reflects India's respect for Ghana's journey and helps strengthen their friendship.
The memorial is also the final resting place of Nkrumah and his wife, serving as a reminder of the ongoing connection between both countries and their shared values.
