Widespread rainfall in these states on Saturday; IMD issues warning
What's the story
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rainfall across several Indian states on Saturday. The forecast areas include Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. A low-pressure area over the northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal is driving this weather pattern. The system is expected to intensify and move west-northwestwards across north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha.

In Delhi, the IMD has predicted a generally cloudy day with light rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 30°C and 32°C while the minimum will hover around 24°C to 26°C.

Punjab is likely to witness isolated to scattered rainfall from September 11 to 17. The IMD has warned of heavy rain between September 13 and 15.
Travelers and outdoor workers are advised to stay updated on local warnings as conditions may change rapidly during thunderstorms.
Uttar Pradesh has already recorded heavy rainfall of 7-11cm till the morning of September 11.

East and West Uttar Pradesh are likely to see isolated to scattered rainfall from September 11-17 and September 12-17, respectively.
Thunderstorm and lightning activity is also possible in these regions.

Isolated heavy rainfall is expected on September 11 and 12, with very heavy rain possible in West MP on September 13 and 14.

Gujarat forecast

Gujarat is also likely to witness widespread rainfall from September 12 to 15. Isolated very heavy rainfall is possible on September 13 and 14 in the state.
Saurashtra and Kutch regions may also witness heavy rain on September 13 and 15, with chances of isolated very heavy rain on September 14.

Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are likely to witness widespread rainfall on September 11 and 12. Isolated heavy rainfall is also expected during these two days.
The IMD has warned of thunderstorms with wind speeds reaching up to 70km/h over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on September 11 and 12.
Telangana is likely to witness widespread rainfall on September 11 and 12, followed by isolated to scattered rainfall from September 13 to 17.

The IMD has predicted thunderstorm activity over the state from September 11 to 13.
In Karnataka, the IMD has forecast isolated to scattered rainfall over South Interior Karnataka from September 11 to 17, while Coastal Karnataka is likely to see the same pattern from September 12 to 17.
North Interior Karnataka has a similar forecast through September 13.
