Sangli fire kills 4 family members, including 2-year-old girl

India

A tragic fire broke out Monday morning at a ground-plus-three-storey building in Vita town, Sangli, taking the lives of four family members—among them a two-year-old girl.
The blaze started on the ground floor of Hanuman Steel Centre and quickly filled the building with smoke, making escape nearly impossible.

Victims include bridegroom's uncle

The victims were Vishnu Joshi (50), his wife Sunanda (45), their daughter Priyanka Ingale (25), and granddaughter Shrushti Ingale (2).
Two other family members, Suraj and Manish, survived after neighbors and police broke through a wall to reach them.
The fire is thought to have started due to an electrical short circuit—and heartbreakingly, it happened just days before Manish's planned wedding on November 16.
Narrow lanes made rescue efforts even tougher for firefighters.
