Ruling BJP held responsible for rape string in Haryana

Earlier, former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda of Congress blamed the BJP government headed by Khattar in Haryana of "lawlessness" and "lack of leadership" resulting in the increased rape incidences. The comment came after five incidents of brutal rape were reported from five districts - Pinjore, Panipat, Hisar, Jind and Faridabad - in 5 days, sending shock waves throughout the nation.

Nirbhaya on repeat: Mutilated body in Jind

In what rekindled memories of Nirbhaya, a minor girl's body with mutilated parts was recovered from Jind district. Assailants allegedly performed necrophilia on her and brutally damaged her sexual organs. Two special investigation teams were constituted by the Jind police to probe the case.
