Surge in Japanese encephalitis cases in Assam
Assam is dealing with a worrying rise in Japanese Encephalitis (JE), with 44 people affected and 10 lives lost so far this year.
Dr. Achyut Chandra Baishya from Guwahati Medical College shared that cases have jumped since June.
JE spreads through Culex mosquitoes and can cause serious brain issues.
