Traffic diversions announced for Jagannath Ratha Yatra
Heads up, Hyderabad! The city will see major traffic diversions this Friday for the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra by ISKCON Abids.
The procession rolls out from NTR Stadium at 11am and winds up at Exhibition Grounds by 5pm with police halting or rerouting vehicles along the way to keep things moving.
Key areas to be affected
Key spots like Dharna Chowk, Ashok Nagar X roads, RTC X road, Narayanguda X road, Himayatnagar Y-junction, Liberty X roads, Basheerbagh under the flyover and more will see diversions.
If you usually drive through places like BJR Circle or MJ Market crossroads—expect detours.
Avoiding the route will help
Plan ahead and pick alternate routes if you're heading through central Hyderabad.
Police have asked everyone to cooperate and avoid parking near the procession route to help keep things smooth for both travelers and festival-goers.
