Doctor rapes woman for year; used recorded video to blackmail

A doctor has been arrested for allegedly raping a 38-year-old woman repeatedly for a year in Miranpur town in UP's Muzaffarnagar district, police said today. The accused had recorded the act and then used the same to blackmail the victim of Kaithora village, Station House Officer (SHO) of Miranpur police station, Manoj Choudhary said. The accused, Sajid Hasan, was arrested yesterday.

Second case of rape by doctor in Muzaffarnagar district
According to the complaint lodged, Hasan had raped the victim a year ago when she had gone for a medical checkup at his clinic and also filmed the act. He was then blackmailing the victim by threatening to upload the video to social media. Last week, another doctor was arrested at Budhana town for allegedly sexually harassing an 11-year-old patient at his clinic.
