7-year-old killed by father after argument with mother over dowry

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her father in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh after her mother left their house following an argument over dowry, the police said. The incident occurred in Kairana town yesterday. The mother filed a complaint with the police alleging that her husband, Imran, killed their daughter, Palak, after she left their house following an argument.
According to Station House Officer Sunil Dutt, the mother in her complaint mentioned that the couple had an argument over dowry following which she left the house. Police have registered a case against Imran and his two brothers in connection with the incident.
