Uttarakhand landslide: Swift rescue of stranded pilgrims

Heavy rain triggered a sudden landslide in Sonprayag, Uttarakhand, trapping about 40 pilgrims heading back from Kedarnath Dham on Wednesday night.
Thankfully, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) quickly reached the spot and managed to rescue everyone safely.

Rain disrupts travel, electricity in several areas

The downpour didn't just cause landslides—it's also blocked key highways like Badrinath and Yamunotri, making travel tough.
Many areas, including Chamba and Agrakhaal, are dealing with electricity and water outages.
With more heavy rain expected in places like Dehradun and Nainital, local teams are working hard to keep people safe and restore essential services.
