You need to watch what you eat, exercise and have a healthy lifestyle overall. Here are five foods that can help you on this journey.

    Blueberries

    Blueberries are known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and should be included in your diet once you turn 30. These bright-colored berries are packed with polyphenols that help to decrease the inflammation in your body. They also fight against free radicals and take care of your bone, skin, and muscle health. Elimination of free radicals will prevent premature aging.

    Potatoes

    Once you start aging, your blood pressure levels automatically start increasing which can lead to various diseases. This is why you need to include potassium sources in your diet. Have potatoes without any fear as they are packed with potassium, even more than bananas. According to the USDA Nutrient Database, potassium content in one potato is more than double that in a banana.

    Tea

    Packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, tea is a great beverage to add to your diet once you turn 30. According to various studies, black tea improves bone density in older women while green tea consumption has been linked to reducing the risk of various types of cancer. Green tea also protects against liquid oxidation and prevents the development of harmful cardiovascular diseases.

    Chia seeds

    Packed with omega-3 fatty acids, chia seeds are a great food to include in your diet during your 30s to age gracefully. These seeds are also packed with alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and some fiber that is great for your overall health. Chia seeds prevent inflammation and keep cardiovascular diseases at bay. They also improve your brain health, cognitive ability, and cellular functions.

    Oats

    Once you turn 30, try to swipe your morning white bread with some healthy oatmeal for breakfast that is full of soluble fibers. Oats help to manage your blood glucose levels and cholesterol levels, thereby protecting you against harmful heart diseases and type-2 diabetes. It also promotes healthy bacteria in your gut.
