Indian celebrities expected to attend Cannes 2023
The glitz, glamour, and entertainment are back for the Cannes Film Festival 2023. Last year, Cannes Film Festival was special for us as India was the 'Country of Honor.' This time it is Spain. The 76th edition will also see many Indians attending the festival and gracing the red carpet. Here is a list of Indian celebrities who are expected to attend the event.
Actor Anushka Sharma will make her debut at the Cannes red carpet this year. The brand ambassador of L'Oréal Paris will be a part of the event to honor women in cinema. Earlier this month, Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli had met France ambassador Emmanuel Lenin in Delhi. It was Lenin who confirmed the actor's presence at Cannes.
Former Miss World and actor Manushi Chillar will be gracing the occasion this year. According to an official statement, she will be walking along with Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan, Oscar awardee Guneet Mongia, and actors, Esha Gupta and Kangabam Tomba. Though Chillar hasn't made any confirmation on the same, we expect to see her on the carpet.
Social media influencer and actor Dolly Singh has confirmed her attendance at the Cannes Film Festival. Taking to her Instagram account, she wrote, "Verified BIG NEWS!! I'm so grateful, happy, anxious and excited at the same time! WISH ME LUCK!." She also thanked the sponsors for making this happen. Reportedly, Singh will be attending the official movie screenings at the iconic Grand Lumiere Theatre.
