    What's the story

Mumbai police have arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly circulating private pictures of his ex-lover after the victim lodged a complaint with Tilak Nagar police, Mid-Day reports.

The accused, a resident of Andheri, sent the obscene pictures of the victim to several of her colleagues.

On the basis of victim's complaint, an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and IT act.

    The relationship

Victim came from Indore, accused was a distant relative

According to the report, the woman came to Mumbai from Indore to fulfill her professional commitments.

She later started working at a Kurla hospital as a doctor. There the accused, a distant relative of hers, came to visit for some treatment.

They started talking on WhatsApp, and the accused expressed his liking towards the victim. She, however, rebuffed his advances.

    The pictures

When they got intimate, accused clicked pictures without telling her

Despite her repetitive refusals, the accused didn't give up. In 2016, he convinced her for a relationship.

Unknown to the victim, the accused clicked private pictures of the victim when they got intimate.

Later, he monitored her social media accounts and started dictating her life.

His toxic nature forced her to exit the relationship.

    Details

After she got engaged, accused harassed her, circulated pictures

In February 2017, the accused got married. In September the same year, the victim got engaged to another man but the accused didn't take it well.

He began harassing her and on November 17 this year took it to another level.

The accused sent obscene pictures of the victim to her colleagues and one of them informed her.

    Subsequently, she approached the police.
