No-confidence motion debate in Lok Sabha enters Day 2

Amit Shah ended his address by appealing the House to support the efforts for peace in Manipur.

Amit Shah said the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) brought political stability to the country.

Reacting to NCP leader Supriya Sule's allegation about the BJP toppling state governments, Amit Shah said it was her father Sharad Pawar who first brought down a government in Maharashtra and came to power by joining hands with the Jana Sangh, the BJP's parent party.

Amit Shah said Indira Gandhi kept the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) away from government functioning, locked JNU, and snatched the powers of the Union Publc Service Commission (UPSC)

Amit Shah said the most number of incidents of communal violence took place under the rule of Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi.

Amit Shah said Indian government doesn't want to change the demography of Manipur and appealed for peace.

Referring to the video of the May 4 incident, Amit Shah said if anyone had the video, they should have given it to the police instead of making it public. He said the survivors' dignity was violated as the video went public.

Amit Shah said that fuel shouldn't be added to fire.

He said Rahul Gandhi went to Manipur to politicize the issue. He said Gandhi declined security arrangements.

Amit Shah said the chief minister needs to be changed when they don't cooperate.

However, CM N Biren Singh is cooperating, he said.

Amit Shah said Naga-Kuki ethnic violence erupted in 1993 which continued for one-and-half years in which 750 were killed and 45,000 were displaced.

He said nobody addressed the issue in Parliament except MOS Rajesh Pilot and slammed the opposition for demanding answer from PM Modi.

Amit Shah the incidents of violence in Manipur are shameful and the government doesn't tolerate it.

Amit Shah said the opposition spead the myth that the government is not ready for a discussion on Manipur.

Amit Shah said under Congress rule, all eight states in northeast were burning.

Amit Shah said Modi government eradicated left-wing extremism from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra, Odisha, and Telangana. He said it remains in only three districts of Chhattisgarh.

Referring to Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah said Modi government removed two constitutions from India and ended stone pelting.

Modi government gave reservation to SCs and STs in Jammu and Kashmir.

Amit Shah said when Congress was in power, Pakistan beheaded India's soldiers but no statement was made.

Border villages were connected by roads under PM Modi and Rajnath Singh, he said.

Amit Shah said PM Modi took India from 11th to 5th rank globally in nine years. He said soon India will be soon the world's third largest economy.

Amit Shah said Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi asked people not to take vaccine because of PM Modi.

He said the opposition also resisted lockdown but the government provided food to everyone.

Amit Shah said Congress just talked of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), GST, and Gareebi Hatao, the BJP worked on it.

Amit Shah said the NDA government in 1999 lost a no-confidence motion but just one vote. He said the NDA could have saved its face by paying bribes like the Congress but it didn't.
