BJP questions Congress's Pakistan-advertisments, latter says you forgot Hogwarts, Winterfell

    What's the story

Congress has come up with a smart reply to counter BJP's claims that it is sponsoring advertisements on Facebook in Pakistan, to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Taking to Twitter, the grand old party wrote its nemesis forgot to mention few places like Hogwarts, Winterfell, Malgudi and Death Star.

Anyone who has followed TV series and movies would know Congress nailed this round.

    Press conference

BJP wonders why Congress is running advertisement in Pakistan

In a press conference, the spokesperson Sambit Patra showed a screengrab of the party's Facebook page.

Patra alleged the Congress was running an advertisement to remove Modi only in two nations, India and Pakistan.

He also mentioned Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu's remarks of relating to Pakistan more than South India, to make a case for Congress' affinity towards the neighboring country.

    Quote

Patra criticizes Congress in harsh words

"What sense does it make in running a paid campaign against our country and our popular Prime Minister in Pakistan? This is not the first time. Navjot Singh Sidhu was speaking against South India," Patra said.

    Malviya's stand

Further, Amit Malviya says intentions of Congress are clear

Echoing Patra's views, IT head of the BJP, Amit Malviya said it is true Congress is gathering support from Pakistan.

He said one can argue the pages are public, given Facebook's new algorithm but Congress's intentions are clear.

"If a political party projects such ads in Pakistan then what is the message that you are giving?," Malviya asked.

    Reaction

With reference to Hogwarts, Winterfell, Congress aces social media round

At the receiving end of the attack, Congress came up with a sharp reply. The party called BJP a fake news factory and shared a screenshot of the page.

Though the page wasn't real, the drop down text it displayed delivered the message loud and clear.

The page mentioned fictional places proving the social media team of Congress knows the game pretty well.
