Aadhaar mobile number update goes digital

Updating your Aadhaar-linked mobile number is about to get way easier—UIDAI is rolling out a new service so you can do it right from your phone, no more trips to enrollment centers.
This should be a big relief for anyone who's ever found the old process inconvenient, especially students, busy professionals, or folks living far from city centers.

How it works and what's next

The update will use OTP verification and facial recognition through your smartphone camera—so you'll just need your Aadhaar number, the new mobile number, and a phone with facial recognition.
