Amazon's Ring implements AI for enhanced security alerts
Amazon's Ring just rolled out an AI feature that replaces boring "motion detected" alerts with specific messages like "A person is walking up the steps with a black dog."
It's in beta right now for Home Premium subscribers in the US and Canada.
What's in the beta alert upgrade?
The AI checks the first few seconds of each motion clip and sends a quick summary, so you know what's happening without opening the app.
It works on all existing Ring devices.
More improvements coming soon
Ring plans to let the AI group similar events into one alert and spot unusual activity by learning your property's usual patterns—so you only get pinged when something actually matters.
