Apple drops watchOS 26.2: Better sleep tracking, smarter safety alerts

Apple just rolled out watchOS 26.2 for Series 6 and newer watches.
The free update (needs iOS 26.2 on your iPhone) brings sharper sleep tracking, improved emergency alerts for US users, bug fixes, and tighter security—all at no extra cost.

What's actually new?

Sleep Score ranges got a refresh—now labeled from Very High (96-100) down to Very Low (0-40), so you get a clearer picture of your rest.
For US folks, Enhanced Safety Alerts now offer maps of affected areas and guidance during floods or disasters.
Plus, annoying Music app bugs are fixed, EU Wi-Fi sharing rules are updated for compliance, and key security gaps have been patched.
