Apple's foldable iPhone: Everything we know so far

Technology

Apple is finally jumping into the foldable phone game, with its first foldable iPhone expected in September 2026.
You'll get a compact outer screen (around 5.3-inch) and a huge inner display (nearly 7.7-inch)—making it the smallest cover and largest inside screen on any iPhone so far.
Other cool features include side-mounted Touch ID, an under-display selfie camera, and a dual rear setup with a sharp 48MP lens.

Specs at a glance

Expected to be powered by Apple's upcoming A20 Pro chip, this foldable won't come cheap—expect to shell out about $2,400 in the US.
The design will focus on being super thin with barely-there creases, thanks to specialty glass and materials and a smart hinge system for that seamless look.

What makes it special?

Apple's using advanced tech from big names like Corning/SCHOTT for its glass and is working hard to keep the inner screen totally smooth—even hiding the selfie cam under the display.
It's all about delivering that premium Apple feel in their boldest new form factor yet.
