Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla just got a big shout-out from the Union Cabinet for his spot on the Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station.
This is a huge moment—Shukla will be the first Indian ever to visit the ISS, and the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Modi, adopted a resolution congratulating him.

Axiom-4 isn't just about one country—it's a team effort with astronauts from Hungary, Poland, and the US flying alongside Shukla.
They launched aboard SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft and are set to dock at the ISS soon.
As Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw put it, Shukla is "carrying the hopes of 1.4 billion Indians."
