Chinese scientists finally settle a classic quantum puzzle

A group of researchers from the University of Science and Technology of China just pulled off something big—they recreated a nearly 100-year-old thought experiment by Einstein and proved Niels Bohr right.
Their experiment showed you can't catch a quantum particle acting like both a wave and a particle at the same time, no matter how clever your setup is.

This result puts an end to one of physics' longest-running debates, confirming Bohr's famous "complementarity" principle and backing up his Copenhagen interpretation—ideas that have shaped quantum science for decades.
