Cognichip, a young semiconductor startup, just landed $60 million in new funding to ramp up its AI-powered chip design tech and reduce chip development costs.
The round was led by Seligman Ventures, with support from Walden Catalyst Ventures.

Since launching in 2024, they've raised $93 million but haven't launched a chip yet.
Their edge? They train their AI on unique, custom-built datasets instead of generic ones.
Cognichip adds Umesh Padval, targets Synopsys
With big names like Tan and Umesh Padval joining the board, Cognichip plans to push its tech further and take on industry giants like Synopsys, hoping to make some real waves in the world of semiconductors.
