Figma launches AI tools in India, opens 1st office

Technology

Figma just launched its new AI-powered design tools in India, celebrating the move with the opening of its first office in the country.
According to a survey by Figma and YouGov, nearly all Indian designers (93%) are already using AI at work, and 85% say it makes coding easier.

New tools will help designers and developers

These new tools are meant to help designers and developers throughout the entire product development lifecycle—a big win for teams at companies like Airtel and Zomato who already use Figma.
The company has grown fast: over 40% of BSE100 firms were on board by September 2025.
After going public this year (with a valuation drop from $70B to $22B), Figma doubled down on AI by acquiring Weavy, a platform for creating images and videos with generative tech.
