Google Beam revolutionizes video conferencing with 3D
Google just introduced Google Beam, a new AI-powered tool that lets you have 3D video calls without any headsets. Built with HP, it uses a huge 65-inch light-field display and six cameras to make conversations feel super lifelike—almost like you're actually in the same room. As Andrew Nartker from Google puts it, "making it feel as though you are in the same room, even when you are miles apart."
The catch? It costs $24,999
HP Dimension with Google Beam is all about making remote work less awkward and more connected. It recreates an in-person vibe that helps people remember details better and pick up on body language—plus, meetings sound clearer thanks to spatial audio and adaptive lighting. You can use it with Zoom or Google Meet for both 3D or regular calls. The catch? It's priced at $24,999 and rolls out to select customers in late 2025, with support for Teams and Webex coming too.
