Google Calendar adds 'Task' feature for easier time management
Technology
Google Calendar just rolled out a new "Task" feature, so you can block off time for actual tasks instead of pretending to be in meetings.
Now, you can pick any open slot, add details about what you need to do, and even set how visible that time block is to others.
Plus, there's a Do Not Disturb option to help you focus without constant pings.
Syncs with Google Tasks and available to everyone
Once you schedule a task, it automatically shows up in your Google Tasks list and sticks around until you mark it done—persistent reminders included.
The rollout started November 6 for some users and hits everyone else on December 1.
No setup needed; it's available for all Google account holders, including Workspace users.
