Google Health 5.08 drops Fitbit logins, requires Google account
Technology
Google Health is still rolling out its 5.08 update on Android and fully available on iOS, focusing on account changes and app upgrades.
The big shift? Fitbit logins are gone. Everyone now needs a Google Account to sign in.
Switch accounts or lose Fitbit data
If you haven't switched your account yet, your Fitbit data will be deleted for good, so don't wait!
The update also fixes a sign-up issue for users whose email addresses were previously associated with Fitbit and brings general stability improvements to make the app run smoother.
Update advances health coach feature
Since its redesign in May, Google Health has been working on making the app better, especially the Health Coach feature.
This update is another step toward a more seamless experience.
