Google is bringing Apple-style contact sharing to Android
Technology
Google is working on a new feature that lets Android users swap contact info just by holding their phones close together—think Apple's NameDrop, but for Android.
The feature uses NFC tech and pops up in the code as "Gesture Exchange" and "ContactExchangeActivity," hinting at a smooth, tap-and-share experience.
You control what you share (and who gets it)
You'll be able to pick exactly what details you want to send—like your profile photo or phone number—and there's even a "Receive Only" mode if you'd rather just get info without sharing yours.
Google seems focused on giving users more privacy and control here.
The feature is expected in a future Android update, so keep an eye out!
