Google launches Veo 3.1 Lite, cheaper AI model for developers
Technology
Google just rolled out Veo 3.1 Lite, a wallet-friendly AI video model for developers.
It costs less than half of the existing Veo 3.1 Fast model, but still lets you whip up videos from text or images at similar speeds.
You get options for both landscape and portrait formats, with crisp 720p or 1080p resolution, and clips up to eight seconds long.
Google cuts Veo 3.1 fast prices
You can try Veo 3.1 Lite through the Gemini API or Google AI Studio, making it easier (and cheaper) to build cool video apps.
Plus, Google is slashing prices on Veo 3.1 Fast starting April 7, aiming to help developers access more affordable video-generation access.
