Google Maps now comes with Gemini AI, letting you chat with the app to find spots nearby, check live sports scores or news, and handle things like adding calendar events—all hands-free.
The AI also helps report traffic issues and gives you a heads-up about route disruptions, aiming to make drives smoother.

Lens integration helps you get instant info about places

Navigation is easier now: instead of just showing distances, Maps uses Street View and points out real landmarks like gas stations or restaurants along your route.
Plus, with Google Lens built in, you can point your phone's camera at places to instantly get info about them and see how popular they are.
These features are rolling out this month for US users on iOS and Android.
