Google Maps now shows real-time speed limits in Noida
Technology
Getting around Noida just got a bit safer—launched on November 13, 2025, Google Maps will show real-time speed limits right in the app, thanks to a new push from the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police.
The goal? To help drivers keep an eye on their speed and cut down on accidents caused by overspeeding.
How the project came to be
This project is a joint effort between local police, Google India, and Lepton Software.
Police officials say it's all about making commutes safer, and early tests already show fewer accidents on UP highways.
There are plans to roll out this feature across more cities in Uttar Pradesh—and maybe even add audio alerts in the future for extra safety.
