Google refuses to summarize Trump's mental health search results
Google has drawn attention for not showing AI-generated summaries when people search about Donald Trump's mental health, like dementia or Alzheimer's.
Meanwhile, similar searches for Joe Biden and Barack Obama generate AI responses indicating there is no definitive public evidence of those conditions.
This difference has led some observers to question if Google is handling presidential info fairly.
Google's AI overview unavailable for Trump search
If you search "does Trump show signs of dementia," Google just says, "An AI Overview is not available for this search," and only regular web links pop up.
The Verge highlighted this gap, which some see as a sign of political sensitivity or possible bias in Google's results.
On top of that, Google recently settled a $24.5 million lawsuit over suspending Trump's YouTube account after the January 6 Capitol riot—adding even more debate about how the company shapes what we see online.
