Google updates Chrome for Android with Material 3 settings redesign
Technology
Google just rolled out a fresh redesign for Chrome on Android, bringing in Material 3 Expressive vibes.
The Settings page now uses card-style sections with softer colors and rounded edges, making everything easier to find at a glance and way more visually appealing than the old text-heavy layout.
Chrome 146 brings Android settings menus
Menus now match the look of Android's Settings, though toggle switches stay the same.
This update is arriving with Chrome version 146. If you don't see it yet, try force stopping Chrome from your app info menu to nudge the changes.
It all builds on last year's updates to things like the address bar and tab grid, so browsing feels even smoother and more consistent across your device.
